Welcome to It's A Lamb
Two blogs, three blog names and five years later, I've realized that I am very indecisive when it comes to how much to share or not to share on my about page, so I decided to conduct a short interview with myself that I hope will give you enough info to continue your journey through this site.
*tape begins*
Is that thing on?
"Yep."
So we're rolling?
"Uh huh..."
Okay make sure you get my good side.
"This is a tape recording, not a video."
Okay, then just stay on my left. I sound better from there.
"So, what is It's A Lamb ?"
Baaa! Baa. Baaaaaa. Baaa! Ba. Ba!
*coughs*
It's a play on my own name.
"Which is?"
Strictly on a need to know basis, which you don't need to know.
*tape stops*
*tape starts*
It's Alexandra Lambropoulos.
"What is the blog about?"
A little bit of this and a whole lot of that.
"So what's it really about?"
Well, the blog is sort of like a snowglobe, but instead of snow swirling around, it's a bunch of words and ideas and pictures swirling around. And instead of a little snowman, probably named Frosty, it's just me. Making that face. This one. Right here. *
*sighs*
Because it's cold. I'm in a snowglobe.
"I see. Can you tell me more about yourself?"
Totally. But I express myself best through acrostic poems.
"That's really not neces-"
- I'll keep it short.
A is for Adventurous (but only before 8pm, I also like my rest)
L is for Lackadaisical (because it was the word I messed up in my 7th-grade spelling bee and it still makes me upset to this day)
E is for Édith Piaf and Eartha Kitt (two of my favorite singers)
X is for Xylophone because nothing truly interesting starts with X other than that.
"Okay... how about your favorite quote? I know how you feel about those."
Currently, I'm loving:
"My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style." ~ Maya Angelou
"That's definitely one of my favorites as well."
I should hope so.
"Last but not least, how can others (businesses, bloggers, friendly individuals, pen pals, etc.) contact you?"
They can email me at itsalambblog@gmail.com
"That's a wrap!"
Hey! I thought you said this wasn't a video!
*tape ends*
:)
But seriously, I am passionate about the arts, the environment, food, and urban planning. In my spare time, (other than blogging) I enjoy baking and travelling, photography and watching way too many classic movies and musicals. I also host a podcast called Urban Limitrophe where I highlight innovative and creative projects transforming cities across Africa (and occasionally a little closer to home).
